The TRENDnet Wireless N-Draftfamily of products, which is based on the 1.0 Draft 802.11n specification,provides up to six times the speed of 802.11g and 802.11a/g products. Theseinitial products operate in the 2.4GHz frequency band, making them backwardcompatible with existing 802.11b and 802.11g solutions. The new WirelessN-Draft family is ideal for consumers who want flexibility, mobility andwhole-home coverage, combined with the throughput of traditional wirednetworks.


The Wireless N-Draft products powered by Atheros' XSPAN technology providesignificantly higher throughput at extended ranges primarily achieved usingMIMO (Multiple Input, Multiple Output) technology. As a result, theseproducts offer physical data rates up to 300Mbps, which is equivalent to150-180Mbps of real user throughput performance. This means that a singlehome network based on TRENDnet's Wireless N-Draft products are capable ofdistributing several HD streams throughout a home while providing plenty ofbandwidth for making VoIP calls, playing online video games, sharingdigital photos and the transferal of data files.
