Handango, the leading provider of mobile content, announced today that Adea Solutions' former president and chief operating officer Doug Ortega has joined the company as chief operating officer. With over two decades of experience, Ortega has earned a reputation as a multi-talented executive with a track record of delivering explosive growth and operational excellence.

Prior to joining Handango, Ortega was founder and president of Adea Solutions, Inc., an IT solutions and services company with more than 1,700 employees. Under Ortega's leadership, Adea Solutions' revenue climbed to over $130,000,000 from 1997 to 2004.

"Doug is a proven leader in guiding companies through all stages. With his eye for growth and passion for excellence, he consistently leads companies to the top of their industries," said Randy Eisenman, president and chief executive officer of Handango. "Even though Handango is already a leader in the mobile content space, our industry is still in its infancy, and the smartest thing we can do is attract even more leadership talent. With Doug on board, I fully expect Handango to grow even faster."

"Handango represents the right opportunity at the right time in my career. I'm passionate about growing technology companies, and I see tremendous growth opportunities for Handango," said Ortega. "My interest in Handango was based on several key factors, including the talented team and the opportunity to leverage my background to help Handango become one of the industry's truly great businesses. Handango has an outstanding portfolio of partners and continues to build its tier-one roster. Since joining the team, we have signed an exclusive two-year content deal with Samsung, one of the leading handset manufacturers worldwide."

Ortega is a frequent spokesperson on technology industry trends and has appeared regularly in regional and national print and broadcast media. For three years he served on the North American Advisory Board for New Media Corporation, which publishes several global trade publications serving information technology services industries. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA).
