PRAGUE, May 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ Ness Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: NSTC), a global provider of information technology services and solutions, and the Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre (CUZK), today announced a development project for a new generation of CUZK's real estate registry information system (ISKN). Ness' share in the project is approximately $4.7 million. Ness and CUZK have successfully cooperated since 1997, and Ness developed and implemented the ISKN information system, which went live in 2001.

The cooperation between CUZK and Ness will result in a centralized ISKN version, ISKN 2008, providing another outstanding enhancement of quality and extension of services offered to citizens, entrepreneurs and public authorities. The new version will comprise prime and backup systems, enhancing access for CUZK's employees as well as for external users. The new version is expected to be completed in the second half of 2008.

"ISKN's new version must address the constantly growing volume of user requirements and range of provided services," said Karel Stencel, CUZK's deputy chairman. "We want ISKN 2008 to be one of the key systems supporting electronic communication in the public administration enabling it to respond flexibly to the new requirements of e-government, and to create support for changes we want to execute."document.write('');

"We are delighted to help CUZK develop a new generation of the system," said Roman Kamaryt, director of Business and Competence Development, Ness Czech. "It is a big opportunity for us, because there are still very few similar applications in the public administration sector."

The ISKN 2008 system will also include a range of web services (such as notification of changes in real estate law), a reference guide to participants in a proceeding, enhanced electronic data transmission capabilities enabling external users to enter electronic data and messages via a web application, and the ability to work more efficiently using digitized documents.

About the ISKN project

The real estate cadastre information system, launched in 2001, is an information system for improving performance of real estate registry and public administration, and for assuring real estate registry services for users. ISKN enables anyone to access cadastre data electronically, even via remote web access. The ISKN project, implemented by Ness, establishes an integral information system and speeds up and improves the quality of services provided to the public and to institutions. Key benefits of the system include immediate availability of cadastre data from anywhere, including electronically signed documents, and facilitation of public administration operations by connecting the real estate cadastre with other public registries. It is the essential system supporting the functioning of the Czech real estate market.
