New ice and water dispenser technology available in LG Electronics' latest French-door refrigerator line offers another level of convenience and functionality. Introduced here today at the 2006 Kitchen/Bath Industry Show (Booth #7516, North Hall), the expanded line of LG Panorama(TM) three-door refrigerators includes an innovative new model with an external ice and water dispenser that places the icemaker within the refrigerator door -- compared to other three-door models that have the icemaker in the freezer compartment located at the bottom of the unit.

"Our newest Panorama three-door model is just one example of how LG is continuing to change the face of the appliance industry. This new technology and the consumer benefits it provides will have a significant impact on the future of the refrigeration category," said Soon Kwon, president of Digital Appliances for LG Electronics USA, Inc. "Now consumers can take advantage of the convenient storage capabilities of a bottom freezer and have the filtered ice and water access that side-by-side refrigerator owners have long enjoyed."

LG Panorama three-door refrigerators are available in three sizes: a 21- cubic foot cabinet depth model, a 22-cubic foot model with a narrow width of 33-inches and a full-sized 25-cubic foot model, providing for enhanced flexibility. With the symmetrical contoured doors, hidden hinges and curved handles, this refrigerator is a welcome addition to any kitchen. The new models will also feature the optional ice and water dispenser with SmoothTouch Controls and Digital LED Display, slide-out split shelves, the BioShield(TM) anti-bacterial gasket, two-piece utility bin, wine rack and adjustable gallon size shelf in right door. In addition, an OptiBin(TM) Crisper controls the moisture levels for fruits and vegetables to help keep produce fresh, longer. The drawer-style freezer also tilts for easier access, giving way to a fuller and wider upper freezer drawer.

All LG Panorama three-door refrigerators feature LG's exclusive multi- airflow system -- an innovative cooling mechanism in which all refrigerator shelves are outfitted with venting ducts for optimal cavity cooling and food freshness -- and an IcePlus(TM) system that helps make ice faster. In addition, digital temperature controls are located on the outside of the unit, which are easy to reach and adjust, and can be locked to prevent unwanted changes.

The updated LG Panorama three-door refrigerators will be available Q2 2006 in a variety of finishes including smooth white, smooth black, titanium and stainless steel, with manufacturer's suggested retail prices ranging from $1,499 to $2,799.

Products specifications and pricing are subject to change.
